As a political player and well-informed citizen, he works to promote a culture of peace by bringing together players from different backgrounds to discuss national issues freely. Through this platform, he encourages a genuine “participatory democracy” where every voice counts. A fight for social and political peace in Guinea.

A model for future generations
Beyond his role as a public man, Dr Sékou Kouréissy Condé strives to inspire younger generations. He calls on them to reject violence and embrace the values of tolerance and unity. His vision of a united, prosperous and peaceful Guinea resonates particularly in a context where divisions often threaten the country’s stability. In short, Dr Sékou Kouréissy Condé embodies the hope of a Guinea reconciled with itself. His fight for peace, his dedication to dialogue and his faith in the ability of Guineans to overcome their differences make him a key player in building a harmonious future for the country.
Sociology of agreement: a concept that is gaining ground
“In a global context marked by growing social tensions, the sociology of understanding is emerging as an essential discipline for understanding and promoting social cohesion”, argues Dr Sékou Kouréissy Condé, a leading mediator, political player, conscientious objector and informed citizen of Guinean politics. Often referred to as the sociology of dialogue, cooperation or reconciliation, this branch of the social sciences is concerned with the processes and mechanisms by which individuals and human groups manage to find common ground, build harmonious relationships and work together to achieve common goals.
As a science at the service of unity, the sociology of understanding is not limited to the observation of conflicts and tensions. It proposes concrete tools for overcoming them, by promoting dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation. In a Guinean society marked by political and social challenges, this discipline can play a key role in strengthening national unity and promoting inclusive development. For Dr Sékou Kouréissy Condé, understanding cannot be decreed: it has to be built patiently, thanks to the willingness of social and political players to overcome their differences for the benefit of a collective interest. By valuing local traditions of palaver and mediation, while drawing inspiration from modern approaches to conflict management, the sociology of understanding offers a promising path to building a harmonious future.
A call for collective patriotism
Guinea, with its rich cultural and ethnic diversity, has everything to gain by investing in the promotion of understanding. This project, far from being a task for the elite alone, concerns every citizen. “The future of our nation depends on our ability to work together, beyond our differences”, says Dr Condé. In short, the sociology of understanding embodies a veritable compass for guiding Guinea towards a future marked by peace, solidarity and shared prosperity. A noble goal, but above all a patriotic duty.
